AmeriCorps

So, three years ago I joined AmeriCorps. It's an awesome program filled with thousands of individuals who want to serve their country. AmeriCorps volunteers do a variety of things, in different program areas. I joined up with Habitat for Humanity, and I've now worked with three different affiliates: Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Lafayette (Louisiana) Habitat for Humanity and Habitat for Humanity of Burlington County NJ. My fellow AmeriCorps and I have built homes, recruited volunteers and put deserving families in safe, affordable, shelter.

If I hadn't joined AmeriCorps and hadn't met all of the people I did, or had such awesome team members, I don't think I'd be back in school right now for photography. I don't think I'd even be taking photos, and I don't think I'd be as good as I am now. I'm not great, I'm not spectacular, but I'm better because of all these people.

So, here are some snapshots from the past couple of years.

It's been awhile since I've posted here. Here are some photos from my adventures in Louisiana.
